this morning we had a great presentation from one mr. tom savigar - trends director of the future laboratory. he was talking mostly about where brands need to be positioning themselves to be able to stay one step ahead in the vastly and quickly changing consumer market. aside from him obviously having given the talk a million times before, resulting in a very polished and well rehearsed set of comments, the content of what he was talking about was hugely valuable and it really did give me some renewed satisfaction to the way that i want to progress forward into the coming world of digital.
digital excites me. i think thats why i would be quite loath to leave it in many ways. there are so many changes and so much to be discovered over the coming years, that it really does feel like the one area of development where really anything is possible. which is why i started to wonder why we really arent innovating more on the internet.
as individuals here at republic, we all seem to totally share the same train of thought as mr savigar, all very aware of the progress that electronics and technology are making. were all pretty digitally savvy and remarkably forward thinking in our own ideals, but when it comes to the agency production, i think in some ways were still missing something. dont get me wrong, were doing very well and getting a lot of respect for it, i just think that we could be doing a lot more...
